Argentina Cos Bought $1.6b in Cenbank Bonds for Dividends Abroad

Argentina’s companies bought $1.64 billion of central bank’s bond, known as Bopreal, to send dividends abroad, according to a statement sent by email.

• Importers also bought $69 million of the same series of bonds
  • The Central Bank has already sold almost all of the three bonds it launched to reduce the external debt of these sectors, according to the statement
  • The remaining $95 million will be sold next week
