Argentina’s National Securities Commission (CNV) expanded the types of assets eligible for tokenization, according to a statement.
- The CNV said shares, including dual-listed stocks, corporate bonds and depository receipts will be permitted for digital representation
- The new framework allows settlement and clearing agents to act as registered holders, while certain digital asset service providers may join the central securities depository as depositors- Investors will retain the right to convert tokenized holdings back into traditional form at any time
