Argentina’s government approved a $1.5 billion loan from the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development, according to presidential decree 270/2025 published in the official gazette.
- Proceeds of the loan will be used to provide financial support to poor families, improve tax revenue and reduce energy subsidies among other objectives
