A Delaware bankruptcy judge transferred the Chapter 11 proceedings for amusement park operator Glenwood Caverns Holdings LLC after the parents of a child killed at the Colorado park requested the case be moved to an in-state venue.
Transfer of Glenwood’s nearly three-month-old bankruptcy to the District of Colorado is appropriate, the US Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware said. Judge Laurie Selber Silverstein issued the order Thursday over the company’s objections to a motion filed by the parents of Wongel Estifanos, a six-year-old who was killed in a 2021 fall from Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park’s Haunted Mine Drop ride. ...
