AMERICAS DISTRESS DAILY: Retailer Forever 21’s Stores May Close

The US-based operatorof Forever 21 is preparing to potentially close down its stores as part of a bankruptcy filing in coming days, after efforts to find a buyer for the fast-fashion retailer have so far failed.

The chain’s trademark and intellectual property are owned by apparel and lifestyle label empire Authentic Brands, which licenses them to the operating company that would undergo a Chapter 11 process. Forever 21’s US footprint has shrunk to about 350 stores.
