AMC Bonds Jump After Company Repurchases 2026 Debt at Discount

AMC Entertainment Holdings Inc. bonds rose after the company said it repurchased around $72.5 million of 10% second-lien notes due 2026 on the open market for about $50 million.

  • The bond the company repurchased jumped 3 cents on the dollar to 76 cents, according to Trace trading data
    • It was among the biggest gainers in the junk bond market as of 11 a.m. in New York
  • AMC’s 7.5% note maturing in 2025 rose 1.5 cents to 89.75 cents
  • Its 5.75% bond due 2025 gained more than 5 cents to around 75 cents
