Ambipar Said to Ready Bankruptcy Filing for as Soon as Next Week

Struggling Brazilian waste management company Ambipar Participações e Empreendimentos SA is working with advisers to prepare a bankruptcy filing for as soon as next week, according to people familiar with the matter.

The company is set to file for so-called judicial recovery in a Rio de Janeiro court, one of the people said, asking not to be identified discussing a private matter. Conversations are still ongoing and the timing may change, the people added.

Ambipar, based in São Paulo, declined to comment.
