Broadcaster Alex Jones told a Texas court he didn’t misappropriate assets from Infowars, maintaining that he has a right to operate a new site for viewers driven away by The Onion’s spin on his former conspiracy-focused media platform.
Forced out of his old studio in Austin at the end of April, Jones urged a Texas appeals court in a filing Thursday not to reconsider an order that paused the satirical news site’s move to license Infowars’ intellectual property from a court-appointed receiver put in charge of Infowars parent Free Speech Systems LLC.
