Alex Jones Defamation Case Kicked Back To Connecticut For Trial

Defamation cases against Alex Jones brought by families of Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting victims can move forward in Connecticut state court, a Connecticut bankruptcy judge ruled, setting up the conspiracy theorist to face trial in early September.

Judge Julie Manning on Monday sent three consolidated defamation cases back to Connecticut Superior Court, granting emergency requests made by Sandy Hook families in early August. The families had sued Jones, who runs the far-right website Infowars, over his false claims that the 2012 shooting was a hoax.
