Families that Alex Jones defamed say a trustee should take ownership of his social media accounts if a judge converts the right-wing conspiracy theorist’s bankruptcy to a formal liquidation.
The families, who hold a massive judgment out of a Connecticut court against Jones related to his lies about the 2012 Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting, argued that his social media accounts should be considered part of his estate, and therefore transferred out of his control and to a Chapter 7 trustee. Jones filed for bankruptcy in 2022 after he was ordered to pay families of the shooting victims $1.5 billion. ...
