Advanta Corporation’s joint amended Chapter 11 liquidation plan became effective Feb. 28 and the company emerged from Chapter 11 protection, according to court documents.

Advanta Corp. and 14 of its affiliates filed for Chapter 11 protection on Nov. 8, 2009 (21 BBLR 1626, 11/19/09). Judge Kevin J. Carey issued the order confirming the joint plan of liquidation on Feb. 10, 2011 (23 BBLR 186, 2/17/11).
