Bankrupt 23andMe asked a court to approve a settlement worth up to $50 million to resolve claims from a 2023 data breach that exposed the personal information of nearly 7 million US customers.
The proposed deal, negotiated before the bankruptcy, would set up a fund of between $30 million to $50 million to handle claims from US clients, according to filings Thursday in the US Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Missouri.
