23andMe, Canadian Data Breach Plaintiffs Agree to Class Claim

DNA testing company 23andMe and Canadian plaintiffs who sued over a data breach reached a deal to allow a class proof of claim in the firm’s bankruptcy.

23andMe reached an “agreement in principle” with the plaintiffs’ attorneys, according to a notice filed on Monday in the US Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Missouri. The terms of the deal weren’t disclosed and the settlement is subject to court approval.
