Wells Fargo Investors Reject More Discrimination Disclosures (2)

Wells Fargo shareholders on Tuesday voted against a proposal seeking an annual public report outlining the bank’s efforts to prevent harassment and discrimination.

The proposal, brought by New York State Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli, follows a similar bid the office put forward last year that passed with 55% of investor support. While Wells Fargo released a third party racial equity assessment last year, the latest proposal is asking for the bank to report certain metrics like the number of pending harassment complaints on an annual basis.
