Wells Fargo Reaches Agreement in Bilingual Mortgage Workers Suit

Wells Fargo & Co. reached a settlement with a group of bilingual mortgage sales workers who alleged racial discrimination against them and in the bank’s mortgage lending practices.

The two sides filed a joint notice of settlement in the US District Court for the Western District of Texas Tuesday. Terms of the deal weren’t disclosed in the notice, and the two sides asked Judge Orlando L. Garcia to provide a 45-day conditional order of dismissal while they finalize the deal.

Counsel for the plaintiffs and Wells Fargo didn’t immediately provide or respond to requests for comment Wednesday.
