Wells Fargo Bank Loses Bid to Dismiss Civil Rights Claims

Wells Fargo Bank NA failed to shake off a civil rights action by a Black customer who alleges he was met with hostility by two employees and subjected to a racial slur by the manager when he asked to open an account, after the Middle District of Florida found the claims relate to the ability to make and enforce contracts—grounds included in the federal statute.
