Waters Seeks Information on Financial Firms’ Exit from Russia

House Financial Services Chairwoman Maxine Waters is asking financial trade associations to report on their members’ progress in exiting Russia following its invasion of Ukraine.

Waters (D-Calif.) said in a letter to more than 30 industry associations that she is “heartened” by American companies’ decisions to leave Russia following the Feb. 24 invasion. But she and her committee don’t have a “clear picture” of what individual companies are doing, she said.
