Trump Praises Waller and Bowman, Says Fed Pick Coming in Weeks

President Donald Trump said he was interviewing “three or four” candidates for Federal Reserve chair and expected to have a decision pretty quickly on who he would nominate to replace Jerome Powell.

“I think every one of them would be a good choice,” Trump said.

Trump said he wasn’t sure if he would announce the pick before the end of the year, but said it would come “over the next couple of weeks.”
