Aide to Frank’s Javice Pleads Not Guilty in JPMorgan Fraud (1)

The former chief growth officer of Charlie Javice’s college financial-planning startup Frank pleaded not guilty to charges he helped her defraud JPMorgan Chase & Co. in its $175 million acquisition of the company.

Olivier Amar, 49, was charged Wednesday with conspiracy, wire fraud, bank fraud and securities fraud, in an updated indictment that added him to the criminal case against Javice, Frank’s founder. Amar, of Port Washington, New York, surrendered Thursday and appeared in court before US District Judge Alvin K. Hellerstein. He was ordered released on $1 million bond.
