Toronto-Dominion Bank and fintech software provider Plaid Inc. have settled their trademark infringement dispute involving the bank’s logo.
A motion to dismiss the case, filed by TD Bank April 29 in the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey, didn’t provide details on the settlement.
The court set a June 7 deadline to rule on the motion.
TD Bank accused Plaid of using its logo to “dupe” consumers into providing their bank login credentials in order to retrieve their banking data and share it with third-party apps, according to TD’s initial complaint.
