A defunct student loan relief company and its founder would be barred from offering any consumer financial products under a proposed settlement with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau for collecting nearly $3.5 million in illegal advance fees.
The proposed settlement, filed Tuesday in the US District Court for the Central District of California, would bring to a close a lawsuit the CFPB filed in 2021 against Judith Noh and the student debt relief company she owned, Student Loan Pro.
