Some Japanese Banks to Get Access to Latest OpenAI Model (1)

Some Japanese financial institutions will get access to OpenAI’s latest artificial intelligence model as they look to beef up preparedness against cybersecurity risks, Finance Minister Satsuki Katayama said.

Katayama spoke to reporters in Tokyo after meeting with OpenAI Chief Strategy Officer Jason Kwon on Friday. She didn’t name any of the firms.

“This is a significant and welcome development from the perspective of strengthening cybersecurity capabilities within Japan’s financial sector,” Katayama said.
