Shell’s Victory Over Emission Cuts Challenged at Top Dutch Court

Shell Plc’s legal victory over far-reaching emissions cuts has been challenged at the Dutch Supreme Court by a group of climate campaigners who claim an appeals tribunal blundered when it sided with the oil and gas giant.

Milieudefensie said the Court of Appeal used “too narrow a standard” to determine whether the London-based company should face a legal emissions reduction target of 45% by 2030.
