Senate lawmakers working on their own cryptocurrency tax legislation may be ready to release their plan “sooner rather than later,” possibly in the fall, Sen.
“We’ve gotten a framework put together,” the Republican tax writer said in an interview with Bloomberg Tax. Though he wouldn’t provide details, he said it’s “more similar than not” to what the House Ways and Means Committee has released.
Daines said he was hopeful lawmakers could hold a markup in crypto legislation this year. “If we can, I’d love to.”
