SEC Chair Pressed by Warren on Enforcement Chief’s Resignation

Sen. Elizabeth Warren writes to SEC Chair Paul Atkins requesting an explanation for the abrupt resignation of the agency’s enforcement chief, according to a statement.

  • Warren calls it “deeply troubling” that the director of the SEC’s Division of Enforcement resigned “reportedly due to disagreements with Commissioners about whether to hold financial backers of President Trump accountable for potential violations of our securities laws,” according to the letter
