Pirro Defends Powell Subpoena, Saying ‘No One Is Above the Law’

Jeanine Pirro defended her decision to subpoena the Federal Reserve, saying her investigation should not be seen as an attack on the US central bank’s independence, but rather a signal that nobody in Washington is above the law.

Pirro, a former Fox News host who was confirmed as the US attorney for the District of Columbia five months ago, spoke about the inquiry in an interview Tuesday night with Fox News host Sean Hannity.

“No one is above the law,” Pirro said, “nor should anyone think that they have the right to be above the law.”
