Perella Weinberg Goes to Trial in Bitter Fight With Ducera (1)

Perella Weinberg Partners’ legal fight with the group of former senior restructuring bankers who founded Ducera Partners went to trial 10 years after the acrimonious split.

Lawyers for both sides made opening arguments Friday in New York state court, and Perella Weinberg co-founder Peter Weinberg took the stand as the first witness. The dispute revolves heavily around Weinberg’s stormy relationship with former Perella Weinberg partner Michael Kramer, a rainmaker who is now Ducera’s chief executive officer.
