OCC Trims Travel Restrictions Ahead of Examiner Trainee Test (2)

The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency partially walked back its abrupt cancellation of travel for agency personnel ahead of a key in-person test for early-career bank examiners.

The Treasury Department, which houses the OCC, had ordered the agency to recall all employees from travel and reduce travel credit card limits to $1 by the close of business Thursday, according to an OCC email obtained by Bloomberg Law.

All employees, including bank examiners, on multiday or long-term travel should adjust their plans accordingly, the initial email said.

OCC employees were also instructed to cancel any pending travel arrangements.
