Navient Claims Student Loan Servicer Left Borrowers in Lurch

Navient Solutions LLC has accused former subcontractor Conduent Education Services LLC of leaving tens of thousands of borrowers in the lurch when it abruptly exited the student loan servicing business.

Despite Navient’s attempts to help Conduent wind down its student loan business cleanly, the company has failed to turn over loan documents Navient needs to service Conduent’s former accounts, according to a partly redacted complaint unsealed May 2 in Delaware Chancery Court.
