Morgan Stanley Digital Assets Head Quits to Start New DeFi Fund

Morgan Stanley’s digital asset markets head is leaving the bank to start his own crypto and digital asset investment fund and trading technology firm, focused on closing the gap between traditional and decentralized finance.

Andrew Peel, a former Credit Suisse trader who joined Morgan Stanley as its head of digital asset markets in 2018, stepped down from his role in March and plans to start fundraising for his new venture in the coming months, according to a person familiar with the matter, who asked not to be named discussing private information.
