Lazard’s Top Lawyer Hoffman Set to Depart After Almost 30 Years

Lazard Ltd. General Counsel Scott Hoffman is set to leave at the end of September after almost 30 years at the company.

“We are grateful to have had the benefit of Scott’s judgment and counsel over nearly three decades, and are grateful that he has agreed to stay on with us until the fall, as we conduct a search for a new general counsel for the firm,” Chief Executive Officer Ken Jacobs and Peter Orszag, who will succeed Jacobs on Oct. 1, said in an internal memo seen by Bloomberg News.
