Klarna Takes Capital Dispute With Swedish Watchdog to ECJ (1)

Klarna Bank AB filed a request with an administrative court in Stockholm as it seeks to get a ruling from European Court of Justice over an ongoing dispute with the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority, a company spokesperson said in emailed comments.

Klarna wants Europe’s highest court to make a preliminary ruling on whether the Swedish FSA has taken sufficient account of the company’s “individual distinctiveness” regarding the watchdog’s decision to impose high capital requirements on the firm, Dagens Industri reported earlier citing court documents.
