Key GOP Senator Says Powell Committed No Crime in Testimony

Republican Senator Tim Scott said Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell didn’t commit a crime when answering questions during a congressional hearing last summer.

“I believe what he did was made a gross error in judgment. He was not prepared for that hearing. I do not believe that he committed a crime during the hearing,” Scott said Wednesday in an interview on Fox Business.
