JPMorgan Tells Judge to End ‘Off the Charts’ Javice Legal Fees

JPMorgan Chase & Co. told a Delaware judge that a previous court order requiring it to cover legal expenses for Charlie Javice, the startup founder convicted of defrauding the bank, had resulted in “off the charts” costs and needed to end.

Lawyers for the bank appeared Thursday before Magistrate Christian Wright of the Delaware Chancery Court to argue that $115 million in bills run up by Javice and her co-defendant, Olivier Amar, constituted “clear abuse” of JPMorgan’s requirement to pay their costs.
