Amazon Renews Co-Brand Credit-Card Deal With JPMorgan, Visa (1)

Amazon.com Inc. renewed its longtime co-brand credit-card partnership with JPMorgan Chase & Co. and Visa Inc. with a multiyear extension.

The companies will add new features as part of the extended tie-up, according to a statement Thursday. The card is already one of the largest portfolios of its kind in the U.S., with more than $15 billion in loans.

Bidding for co-brand portfolios, which are lucrative for both merchants and their bank partners, remains intensely competitive. Amazon last year fielded bids to replace New York-based JPMorgan as the issuer on the popular card.
