Jeremiah Norton will step down from the board of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation as of June 5, the banking regulator said in a statement May 8.
“Jeremiah has been an extraordinarily effective and influential member of the FDIC Board,” FDIC Chairman Martin Gruenberg said in the statement. “He has made major contributions to important actions by the FDIC in the wake of the financial crisis. We are grateful for his service, we will miss his thoughtful insights, and we wish him well in his future endeavors.”
Norton has served on the agency’s five-member board since 2012 23 DER EE-14, 2/6/12
