House Democrats Seek Floor Vote to Probe DOGE’s Actions at CFPB

House Democrats are seeking to force a vote on a measure probing what Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency and the Trump administration are doing at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.

Democrats are filing a resolution of inquiry seeking answers to questions about the state of the federal consumer finance watchdog, including the data DOGE team members accessed at the CFPB and whether detailees had proper security and other clearances to do so. DOGE staff members first entered the CFPB in early February.
