GOP Floats Business Tax Breaks, 1099 Change in Spring Package (1)

House Republicans are working on an economic package that may include expired business tax breaks and other tax provisions, according to aides familiar with the discussions.

The GOP is preparing legislation with the aim to unveil it in May or June, an aide said. No details of what tax provisions will be included are final, though the research and development tax break, full bonus depreciation, and the interest expense deductions under 163(j) that expired at the end of last year are in the mix, aides said.
