Goldman’s President John Waldron Joins Board in Rare Promotion

Goldman Sachs Group Inc. President John Waldron is joining the bank’s board of directors, in a rare move that elevates a banker who isn’t in the chief executive role.

Waldron is joining Goldman’s board along with Accenture Plc’s former Chief Financial Officer KC McClure, who is currently a senior finance advisor at the consultancy. McClure will become an independent director of the bank’s board, Goldman said in a statement Wednesday.
