The Defense Department is pursuing investment bankers from Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, JPMorgan and Bank of America as prime recruiting targets for a 30-person team, Semafor reports, citing a document prepared by search firm Heidrick & Struggles.

  • The goal of the new team is to invest $200 billion over three years in defense deals, in an attempt to counter China, Semafor says
  • Pentagon declined to comment to Semafor; Heidrick & Struggles didn’t immediately respond to requests for comment from Semafor
