Goldman Hires 23-Year JPMorgan Veteran to Help Lead Private Bank

Goldman Sachs Group Inc. hired JPMorgan Chase & Co. veteran Ben Williams to lead its private bank for Europe, Middle East and North Africa as the Wall Street giant builds out services targeting the world’s ultra-wealthy.

Williams joined Goldman Sachs in London this month after working for more than two decades at JPMorgan, where he was most recently co-head of private bank lending for EMEA, according to a memo to staff seen by Bloomberg.

“The private bank continues to represent a significant growth opportunity for Wealth Management globally and particularly in EMEA,” according to the memo signed by Stefan Bollinger ...
