Brooks is part of O’Melveny’s financial services practice group and fintech industry group, the law firm said in a statement Tuesday. He had worked there as a partner for about eight years before he went into the private banking sector in 2011.
He became the chief legal officer at Coinbase, the largest US-based crypto exchange, in 2018, served as the Acting Comptroller of the Currency during the Trump administration and in May 2021 joined Binance.US.
