Fed’s Warsh Taps Conservatives Winfree, Heil as Advisers (1)

Federal Reserve Chairman Kevin Warsh has hired conservative policy analysts Paul Winfree and Daniel Heil as temporary advisers, according to people familiar with the matter.

Winfree previously served in the White House during President Donald Trump’s first term in office and wrote a chapter on the Fed for the Heritage Foundation’s Project 2025 initiative that was critical of the central bank. He was also considered by the White House for a seat on the Fed’s Board of Governors in 2019.
