FDIC Program Aims to Help Minority- and Women-Owned Businesses

A new collaboration is intended to help minority-owned and women-owned businesses work with the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, the agency and Operation HOPE Inc. announced Jan. 24.

The partnership intends to expand and promote financial education and economic inclusion through the FDIC’s Money Smart resource, which has been adopted by more than 1,400 financial institutions and community-based partners since its release in 2001, according to the agency’s release.
