FDIC, Kansas Bank Reach Deal in Fight Over $20 Million Fine

The Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. and a Kansas bank reached a settlement in the bank’s challenge to a $20.4 million administrative judgment, putting the case before a federal appeals court on hold.

The agreement should resolve the litigation as well as the underlying administrative action, the parties said in a joint motion Wednesday asking the US Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit to pause the case.

While the details weren’t disclosed, the settlement agreement requires “certain actions by the parties that are expected to take several months to carry out,” the FDIC and CBW said in the court filing ...
