Experian, CFPB to Continue Biden-Era Suit Over Consumer Disputes

An Experian Plc unit was able to temporarily shake Consumer Financial Protection Bureau claims that the credit reporting giant failed to ensure the accuracy and completeness of information on consumers supplied by companies over a three-year period.

But the CFPB will be allowed to file an amended complaint because of a dispute between the parties over whether a tolling agreement with US-based holding company Experian Holdings Inc. applied to Experian Information Solutions Inc., the subsidiary where the alleged misconduct took place, Judge Michelle Williams Court of the US District Court for the Central District of California said in a ruling ...
