EQB Names Ex-Finance Chief Westlake CEO After Moor’s Death (2)

Former EQB Inc. Chief Financial Officer Chadwick Westlake will return to the bank as chief executive officer following the death of the Canadian bank’s longtime leader Andrew Moor.

Westlake, 46, who left the firm earlier this year to become CFO of tech firm Open Text Corp., will become EQB’s CEO on Aug. 25, the Toronto-based bank said in a statement Wednesday. The appointment followed a “years-long” process of planning for a successor to Moor, who died unexpectedly at 65 last month after more than 18 years as CEO.
