Elizabeth Warren Says Warsh Testimony Shows Lack of Independence

Senator Elizabeth Warren assailed Federal Reserve chair nominee Kevin Warsh’s performance in his confirmation hearing on Tuesday, saying he had failed to demonstrate the will to defy President Donald Trump.

“It is Kevin Warsh’s job to show he has the courage and independence to stand up and say ‘No’ to Donald Trump,” Warren, a Massachusetts Democrat, said in a Bloomberg Television interview on Tuesday evening. “He would not answer any question that in the smallest way would disagree with Donald Trump.”
