Economists See Two 2026 Fed Rate Cuts, Worry Over Warsh: Survey

Economists pushed back their expectation for the Federal Reserve’s next interest rate cut to June from March, but still see two quarter-point reductions by year-end, according to a survey by Bloomberg News.

The 46 economists surveyed anticipate a faster pace of cuts than what futures markets are pricing in. It’s also one more 2026 cut than Fed officials favored in December, according to their median projection.
