EBay Acquires Payment Firm Adyen’s Shares in Warrant Tranche (1)

E-commerce company eBay Inc. has acquired shares worth €96.9 million ($105 million) in Adyen NV, the Dutch payment processing company said.

Adyen issued 403,724 shares at €240 apiece to eBay, Adyen said in a statement after market hours on Wednesday. The transaction is part of a warrant agreement struck by the two companies in 2018 which entitles eBay to acquire shares provided it processes a significant level of volumes through Adyen.
